Last major Xbox One update of the year rolls out

Microsoft announced the November update on Friday, explaining that it’s the last major update of the year.

That’s not to say we won’t see some minor changes made next month, it just won’t be anything too drastic.

The reason being that Microsoft doesn’t want to roll out anything too big during the Christmas season, as many new games will be coming online and the last thing they want are any bugs in the system.

So let’s just be thankful that the November update is out with a fresh batch of add-ons, including custom backgrounds which Microsoft says was the "number one requested feature" from fans.

Users can now set different backgrounds for each gamer profile, either using achievement art or JPG/PNG images off a USB stick.

The location and bio part of your profile also returns, which went missing in the next-gen transition. Now you can add or remove up to six game clips or achievements to show off whenever other players look at your profile.

Game clips can now also be shared on Twitter, so your followers can witness all of the wonder goals you’re scoring on FIFA.

Xbox One owners in the US, Canada and the UK also get a new “Trending” tab in OneGuide that displays the top 20 most watched TV shows.
