OverLord brings multi-colour 3D printing to the masses
Introducing OverLord, dubbed the "most affordable smart multi-colour 3D Printer" on the market.
Okay, that might seem a little dramatic, but this awesome tech is certainly one to look out for. While there are loads of 3D printers out there, not many print multiple colours so effortlessly.
OverLord by DreamMaker can print multi-colour objects as large as 170mm in diameter and 260mm in height, which is 30 per cent taller than normal 3D printers can accommodate.
There isn't any complicated setup to go through either, in fact it's rather simple to start printing. OveLord is easily controlled via an iPad app, with no computer required to operate the printer.
The app lets you browse models, scale the design and put the object into the print queue. You can switch colours at anytime to make it as eye-catching as you wish, without having to edit the code.
It takes five minutes for the auto-leveling and auto-calibration system to complete before printing begins, it's as simple as that.
OverLord had a £10,000 goal when it debuted on Kickstarter on November 25, but quickly smashed it on the first day and now boasts £68,259 in pledges and counting.
An OverLord will set you back £99, but that's just the early-bird price for backers. Forking out £299 will get you the larger OverLord Pro.
